What we collect

When you buy something: your name, email address, shipping address, phone number if you give us one, and what you ordered.

When you pay: we never see or store your full card number. Payment details go straight to our payment processor.

When you visit: your browser type, device, rough location from your IP address, which pages you looked at and where you came from. This arrives as aggregate analytics, not a file with your name on it.

If you email us: whatever is in the email.

Why we have it

• To take payment and send you the thing you bought.
• To email you order confirmation and tracking.
• To answer your questions and handle returns.
• To understand, in aggregate, which pages work and which do not.
• To meet tax and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

Only the companies we need to run the shop:

• Shopify hosts the store and processes orders.
• Our payment processors take the payment.
• CJ Dropshipping, our fulfilment partner, receives your name and shipping address so the parcel can reach you. They do not receive your payment details.
• Our email provider sends order and shipping notifications.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not hand your email address to advertisers.

Marketing email

We only email you about a purchase unless you have asked to hear from us. If you do subscribe, every email has an unsubscribe link and one click is enough — you do not have to email a person to get off the list.

Cookies

The store uses cookies to keep your cart working, to remember your session, and to count visits. You can block or delete them in your browser settings. If you block the essential ones, the cart will stop working.

How long we keep it

Order records for as long as tax law requires, which is typically seven years. Support emails for two years. Analytics in aggregate, indefinitely, with no way to trace it back to you.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@offscreen.store and we will action it within thirty days. We may need to keep order records we are legally required to keep, and we will tell you if that applies.

Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing, to ask us to restrict it, or to complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

Your shipping details travel to our fulfilment partner, which may be outside your country, so a parcel can be addressed to you. Our hosting and email providers may store data in the United States. That is unavoidable if you want the parcel to arrive.

Children

This store is not for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the bottom of the page. Material changes get an email to anyone on our list.
